Event Details

Taking off from the name "Seminary of the Streets", the Hmong leaders of this session have chosen the theme "Our Road to Christianity".

The Hmong people have a long tradition of storytelling. Two Hmong teachers from Luther Memorial, Lue and Kita Her, will lead this session as we learn to tell our own stories, and listen to the stories of the winding road to Christianity for many Hmong people. Since the youth of Luther Memorial like to create videos, the presentation will likely be enriched by video interviews with people from 3 different Hmong congregations, whose roads to Christianity have all been very different.

Pastor Bee Vang will share about Luther Memorial's ministries for the ministry highlight.

Hmong food will be provided as our no cost meal this evening; your early RSVP helps us to estimate for food and seating capacity. Street parking is available all around Luther Memorial, which is located in a residential neighborhood.

Seminary of the Streets

Seminary of the Streets is a collaborative effort born in the Minneapolis Area Synod to connect church members from urban and suburban contexts, stimulate discussion and innovative ideas, and sustain those for whom staying in their own "box" is not enough.
